Step 1: Create WIPO User Account
WIPO User Account is the Username created for example to access PLUTO database or UPOV DL courses.
Do you have a WIPO User Account?
If yes, go directly to Step 2.
If no, create WIPO User Account
Step 2: Request User authorization
Which role is the most appropriate for you?
BREEDER - you are making applications for your own varieties
Has your company/organization registered an administrator for UPOV PRISMA?
If yes, you must request your administrator to assign you a specific role (drafter, authorized signatory, co-breeder admin)
If no, please use the WIPO User Account you have created in Step 1 to access UPOV PRISMA and
a) upload a scanned copy of an official signed letter (Model authorization letter) from your company/organization indicating the following:
- name of the designated breeder admin
- e-mail address
- name of the WIPO account
b) Select BREEDER ADMIN role.
AGENT - you, or your company, are acting on behalf of breeders either by assisting them in parts of their application or completing the application on their behalf
Have you, or your company, registered an AGENT ADMINISTRATOR in UPOV PRISMA?
If yes, you must request your administrator to assign you a specific role (drafter, authorized signatory, co-agent)
If no, please use the WIPO User Account you have created in Step 1 to access UPOV PRISMA and
a) upload a scanned copy of an official signed letter (Model authorization letter) from your company/organization indicating the following:
- name of the designated agent
- e-mail address
- name of the WIPO account
b) Select AGENT role.
PVP OFFICE - you are working for the Authority responsible for granting plant breeders' right
Has your PVP office registered an administrator for UPOV PRISMA?
If yes, you must request your administrator to assign you a specific role (PVP Office admin, PVP Officer)
If no, please contact the UPOV PRISMA team
Step 3: Receive e-mail confirmation
If appropriate, you will receive an e-mail confirmation from UPOV PRISMA of the role you have been assigned. This may take some time.
Step 4:
You now have access to UPOV PRISMA
