Hu Jintao: to upgrade independent innovation capacity is the only way to hold initiative to development

Between January 11 and 14, General Secretary of Communist Party of China Hu Jintao paid an inspection trip to Anhui Province, and stressed to upgrade independent innovation capacity so as to constantly hold initiative to development and to have more advantages in development.

In Chery Automobile Co., Ltd., Hu pointed out the practice of an enterprise going strong and big fully demonstrated that independent innovation is the core of an enterprise's competitiveness. To cultivate first-class brand is the key factor to become a first-class company. Chinese companies should further complete its system and mechanism, attracts more intelligent people, enforce research and development, work hard in exploring market in order to make more significant progress in independent innovation.

In Chinese Academy Hefei Physical Science Institute, Hu said that only by enhancing China's capability of independent innovation is the right way to hold the initiative for development in hand and to have more superiority in future. He asked to make greater efforts to push forward original technological innovation, technologically integrated innovation, and renovation of introduced technologies to meet the demand of building of an innovative country.

The top Chinese leader also asked to take breakthroughs in some core and key technologies in the fields closely related to economic and social development.
