"Creative products usually have much stronger outside form than S&T products, so they are easily to be imitated and need the protection of intellectual property rights."
Vice Chairman of CPPCC and Central Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang Li Wuwei said at the First Workshop on Creative Industry held on May 13. And at the same day, Chinese Cultural Creative Industry Development Fund was established.
And Li added, strengthening IP protection in creative industry includes the perfection of laws and regulations system and the building of public IP service system.
Moreover, after developing core IPRs, firms should obtain derived IPRs as much as possible, forming a big network of IP protection and realizing huge economic interests.
It was learnt that associations for creative industry all over the country, related organizations and firms took part in the workshop. Deputies from Sichuan and Shandong explained to participants the ways of local cultural industries on how to set up public service platform and give policy support, and advised to found a leading coordination organ, a relevant statistics evaluation system, etc..
