88 national hi-tech zones gained 29,000 invention patent grants

This year is the 20th anniversary of constructing national hi-tech zones of China. According to the official from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), the number of national hi-tech zones of China has reached 88 and over 50% of hi-tech industries gather herein. Last year, the invention patent grants of enterprises in national hi-tech zones hit 29,000 items, accounting for 50.7% of all the invention patent grants of the enterprises across the nation.

It is informed that since 20 years ago when the national hi-tech zones were built, a batch of key S&T achievements with indigenous IPR was made, more than 100 innovation-oriented industrial clusters with strong competitiveness in such sections as Internet and new energy were formed and over 100 industrial bases with characteristics were set up.
