Sino-Japan Copyright Protection Seminar held in Tokyo

China's copyright protection delegation and tens of people from Japanese publishing sector held a seminar on May 21 in Tokyo. They exchanged views on several issues, including cooperation in copyright protection.

The delegation was led by Head of Copyright Protection Center of China and General Manager of Copyright Agency of China Duan Guijian. At the seminar, Duan introduced the history of China's copyright protection and the achievements gained in copyright protection, predicted the future of Sino-Japan cooperation in copyright protection, and put forward suggestions for the both sides on how to make profit in cultural exchanges.

The two parties negotiated on new problems in network copyright protection and the present issues existing in Sino-Japan copyright protection. The Japanese party demonstrated its top network copyright protection technologies on the spot.

After the seminar, the opening ceremony of the branch of Copyright Agency of China in Japan, namely Sino-Japan Copyright Exchange Center, was launched.

Also on the morning of May 21, Eda Satsuki, President of the House of Councillors of Japan, met with China's delegation. They exchanges views on the in-depth copyright cooperation between China and Japan. [Chinese version is available on Xinhua]
