GAC announces 2007 Top Ten Best IPR Protection Cases

At the press conference on customs IPR protection held on April 28, the General Administration of Customs announced 2007 Top Ten Best IPR Protection Cases.

The ten cases are as follows: Huangpu Customs confiscated 300 thousand pieces of toothpaste counterfeiting "CLOSE UP"; Xiamen Customs seized sport suits faking 9 trademarks, such as "Li-Ning"; Shanghai Customs captured 1 million export batteries counterfeiting the trademark "SOYO"; Wuhan Customs caught 170 thousand export cans with fake trademark "Lui"; Hangzhou Customs continuously detained jewelries with counterfeit trademark "TIFFANY" at the delivery channel; Beijing Customs found out T-shirts infringing the exclusive right of Olympic symbol "Beijing 2008" at the express channel; Guangzhou Customs seized moulds infringing the exclusive right of Olympic symbol "Fuwa", which were brought inboard by travelers; Shenzhen Customs caught 40 thousand bars of export cigarettes with fake trademark "Marlboro"; Qingdao Customs confiscated many export commodities with dozens of fake trademarks; Fuzhou Customs captured 100 thousand export goods with counterfeit marks of "Adidas".
