Ministry of Culture declared 2007 ten biggest IP cases in cultural market

In 2007, China cultural administration department had adopted a series measures to crack down piracy and infringement crimes. On January 8, the Ministry of Culture declared following ten biggest IP cases in 2007.
-- On April 16, 2007, Shanghai Cultural Market Administrative and Law Enforcement Team and the Public Security Department seized two illegal audio-visual product wholesales, found out 610,000 fake disks. In October 2007, Putuo District Court in Shanghai made judgment to the 4 suspects' criminal detention with 6 months and 15 months and also fines respectively.
-- On April 25, 2007, Beijing Cultural Market Administrative and Law Enforcement Team and the Public Security Department had a special action to an area in Fengtai district, cracking down 31 audio-visual shops selling infringed disks, and 23 places for depositing those fake products, found 108,000 fake disks and arrested 44 suspects.
-- In the early of October 2007, Guangzhou Cultural Market Administrative and Law Enforcement Team investigated one storehouse, and found 610,000 infringed audio-visual disks.
--- On July 10, 2007, Jiangxi Provincial Cultural Market Administrative and Law Enforcement Team and the Public Security Department had a swoop to Hongcheng Electric Appliance Market in Nanchang city, seized an illegal audio-visual shop and found over 470,000 fake disks and tapes.
--- On November 12, 2007, Foshan and Nanhai cultural administrative enforcement teams, coordinated by Guangdong Provincial Cultural Administration, jointly seized a shop depositing illegal audio-visual products in Nanhai district, and found some 400,000 fake disks.
--- On December 27, 2007, Guizhou Provincial Cultural Market Administrative and Law Enforcement Team and Guiyang City team as well as and Guiyang City Public Security Department seized two illegal audio-visual wholesale shops and found out 300,000 fake disks and tapes.
--- On September 18 to 19, 2007, Anhui Provincial Cultural Market Administration, Provincial Public Security Department as well as other relevant departments investigated two audio-visual wholesale shops suspected for selling illegal disks, and seven places suspected for depositing illegal audio-visual products, and found out 267,000 fake disks, and 11,000 pornographic disks.
--- On September 29, 2007, Shanghai Cultural Market Administrative and Law Enforcement Team and the Public Security Department caught up a truck full of illegal audio-visual disks, found out over 230,000 fake disks of Chinese popular TV plays.
--- In October, 2007, Sichuan Provincial Cultural Market Administrative and Law Enforcement Team gave their focus on local freight terminals, and seized two illegal audio-visual cases within three days, and found out over 230,000 disks.
--- On January 31, 2007, Fujian Putian City Cultural Market Administrative and Law Enforcement Team and local Public Security Department seized a deposit place in Hanjiang District, and found over 230,000 infringed disks, and 6 suspects were arrested by an order of the local court.
