Recently the US Microsoft Corporation, Parametric Technology Corporation and Autodesk Inc. instituted a proceeding against a Chinese company in Qingdao for copyright infringement. The plaintiffs request that the defendant should make compensation and apologize. The Qingdao Intermediate People's Court has put the case on file and started investigations into the case.

In December 2005, when examining the computers at the defendant's office, the Qingdao Copyright Administration found that the company installed pirated software, such as the Windows operation system, Microsoft Office, Pro/E and AutoCAD. The copyrights of the above software are enjoyed by Microsoft Corporation, Parametric Technology Corporation and Autodesk Inc. Then, according to the request of the copyright owners, the Qingdao Copyright Administration again examined the infringing company and confirmed the infringement. Therefore, the plaintiffs requested the defendant to stop the infringement, to make an apology and to make compensation.
