Thousands of counterfeit Emerson Filers seized in Shanghai

Recently, according to the complaint from American Emerson Electric Co., the Huangpu Branch of the Shanghai Administration for Industry and Commerce inspected more than 10 stores in Shanghai and seized 2,799 pieces of counterfeit EMERSON or ALCO air conditioning filters and hundreds of other counterfeit products.

The air conditioning filters and filters manufactured by Emerson Electric Co. enjoy good reputation in the world. From 2002 to 2006, Emerson registered its trademarks, including "EMERSON," "ALCO" and "EMERSON CLIMATE TECHNOLOGIES" in China. Emerson believed that the acts of the stores infringed its exclusive right to use the trademarks, so it requested the AIC and Commerce to take measures to protect its legal rights and interests.

Then the officials from the AIC inspected stores and seized 2,799 pieces of counterfeit air conditioning filters and hundreds of other counterfeit products, including filters and thermostatic expansion valves. Now the AIC has put the case on file and will make further investigations.
