Harley-Davidson Inc. Sues Chrome Horse Motorcycles Beijing for Trademark Infringement

On July 3, American Harley-Davidson Inc. instituted a proceeding against Chrome Horse Motorcycles Beijing and persons in charge of the company for trademark infringement.

According to Harley-Davidson Inc., Chrome Horse Harley-Davidson motorcycles and accessories that were illegally obtained and other counterfeit Harley-Davidson products. The plaintiff pointed out that the defendant alleged to be the distributor authorized by Harley-Davidson Inc. and the only importer of Harley-Davidson motorcycles in China. The defendant was also charged of misleading the consumers by prominently using the trademark of Harley-Davidson.

Chrome Horse Motorcycles Beijing, started operation in April 2006, is the first and the only distributor of Harley-Davidson products in China's mainland.
