Isola abandons patent infringement action against Shengyi

After a vigorous defense, Guangdong Shengyi Sci. Tech Co., Ltd. has emerged victorious in the United States patent litigation brought without notice by Isola USA Corp, announced by the company in Guangdong on May 21.

On October 6, 2008, Isola filed for 337 investigations at the International Trade Commission (ITC) of the United States, alleging against Shengyi and seven other companies of infringement of its three patents.

ITC took the case on November 5, 2008. Shengyi filed a motion to terminate one patent investigation and presented elaborate evidence explanation. In the face of strong evidence of non-infringement, Isola capitulated and withdrew its complaint against Shengyi on March 12, 2009.
