It is learned from the General Administration of Customs that since the beginning of this year, the Customs across the nation have been promoting the construction of IP protection long-term mechanism and launched a one-year-long special rectification campaign in important ports and transport channels so as to maintain import and export order and protect consumers’ health and safety. As of March 13, 1,164 batches of infringing goods for import and export were seized with a value of 87 mln yuan.
This year, the Customs across the nation have captured batches of infringing goods. Lately, Hangzhou Custom seized 70 undeclared watches in a Zimbabwean’s luggage of and most of them were international brands such as Casio and Rado. All these seized watches were infringing goods. Besides, Hangzhou Customs captured 3,000 labels allegedly infringing the brand “RIVERS” in a postal parcel. Hangzhou Customs also seized 12,000 pens allegedly infringing “Zero” trademark. Yiwu Customs seized 9 batches of infringing goods in commodity freight channels, about 48,000 pieces.
Xiamen Customs found parallel equidistant four bar graphics in the 11,136 pairs of football shoes declared for export by some import and export trade company located in Ruian City. These graphics were similar with the three bar graphics recorded by “Adidas” in the General Administration of Customs. Confirmed by the trademark holder of “Adidas”, these shoes were infringing goods and at present, Xiamen Customs was handling the case.
Recently, some finery company in Zhongshan City declared to Gongbei Customs to export a batch of bags. The Customs found 6,349 bags bearing the trademark “COCO”, which allegedly infringed the exclusive right of Chanel to the trademark “COCO”.
