Conference on experience exchange of grass-root copyright enforcement held in Kunming

Recently, the first national conference on experience exchange of grass-root copyright enforcement was held in Kunming, capital of Yunnan province, indicating the start of training on grass-root copyright administrative law enforcement of the National Copyright Administration.

Over 90 grass-root copyright enforcers from Shaanxi, Sichuan, Chongqing, Guizhou and Yunnan attended the training.

At the conference, NCA Deputy Director Xu Chao, Section Chief Duan Yuping, Deputy Section Chief Zhang Youli respectively gave lectures on the Copyright Law, the Ordinance on the Protection of the Right to Network Dissemination of Information, the Measures for Implementation of the Administrative Punishment of Copyright, and the applicable laws in copyright administrative law enforcement.

Moreover, the NCA invited experts of Chinese Online Anti-Piracy Union, IFPI (International Federation of the Phonographic Industry) Representative Office in Beijing and MPA (Motion Picture Association of America) Beijing Office to elaborate on copyright issues in network dissemination of written works, status quo and countermeasures of domestic illegal digital music and copyright problems in network dissemination of films.

Besides, the participants made communications on enforcement experiences and discussed characteristics and developing trend of network infringement and piracy cases in recent years, new technologies and measures adopted in investigating network infringement and piracy cases and how to effectively solve the problems in network law enforcement practice.
