"Three Rural Problems" highlights 3rd China Trademark Festival

The upcoming Third China Trademark Festival, themed as "Implementing Trademark Strategy and Building Innovation-oriented Country," will pay great attention to "Three Rural Problems" which concern with peasantry, rural areas and agriculture. Chairman of China Trademark Association Li Jianzhong was quoted as saying.
Li also said, in addition to showcasing the achievements in China's agricultural trademark and geographical indication sector, it will increase the promotional work of the registration and protection of geographical indications as well, so that the Trademark Festival can make contributions to effectively serving rural economy and promoting trademarks and geographical indications of agricultural products.
The Third China Trademark Festival will be held from November 9 to 12 at Qingdao City, Shandong Province, which was announced by State Administration for Industry and Commerce, China Trademark Association and Qingdao Municipal People's Government in Beijing on the 3rd.
During this festival, China will launch "2009 China Trademark Annual Meeting", "Summit on the Cooperation and Development of Chinese and Foreign Trademark Agencies", "China's Trademark Design Competition", "Census on Consumers' Most Favorable Green Trademarks", "Exposition for Geographical Indications of Agricultural and Special Products" and other activities.
According to Li Jianzhong, as the most influential, highest-level and biggest-scale brand pageant in China's trademark industry and intellectual property field, the first and second China Trademark Festivals were respectively convened in 2005 and 2007 at Shenzhen of Guangdong Province and Changsha of Hunan Province.
