Inner Mongolia: Hohhot destroys fake wine

On June 17, the Economic Investigation Detachment of Hohhot Municipal Public Security Bureau and the Trade and Industry Administration jointly destroyed the 210,000-yuan fake wine at the western suburb.

According to the related principal, the Economic Investigation Detachment got clues of production and sale of fake wine around the Jinchuan Development Zone and captured the suspect at the den. 36 bottles of fake Maotai, 144 bottles of fake Wuliangye, 108 bottles of fake Jiannanchun, 168 bottles of fake Shuijingfang and 24 bottles of fake Guojiao were seized.

On June 4, the suspect was arrested on suspicion of violating registered trademarks. It is reported that this is the largest case of producing and selling fake branded liquor in recent years.[Chinese version is available on Huhhot.gov.cn]
