The result of the second election of Top 100 China Time-honored Brands was released on July 10, 2007. The first three brands are Moutai with a brand value of 14.526 billion yuan (US$1.96101 billion), Wuliangye with a brand value of 13.042 billion yuan (US$1.76067 billion) and Liqun with a brand value of 5.119 billion yuan (US$691.065 million) and the last one on the list is Chuhe with a brand value of only 10 million yuan (US$1.35 million), which was 1/1450 of the value of the top one Moutai.
Although both of them are listed as China Time-honored Brands, their brand values are quite different.
This is the second consecutive year that China Brand Research Institute evaluated the brand values of China Time-honored Brands. This evaluation took the first batch of 430 China Time-honored Brands reconfirmed the Ministry of Commerce and 72 of them were dropped out of the list.
In the meantime of releasing the result of the second election of Top 100 China Time-honored Brands, China Brand Research Institute also announced 2007 Top 30 Most Valuable China Time-honored Brands. [Chinese version is available on jrj.com.cn]
