Trademark Infringement Case Involving ExxonMobil Unearthed in Xi'an

Recently the Xi'an Administration for Industry and Commerce unearthed a case in which a company in Xi'an was suspected of infringing the trademark owned by ExxonMobil (China) Investment Co. Ltd.

In May, ExxonMobil (China) Investment Co. Ltd. complained to the Xi'an AIC that a company in Xi'an used ExxonMobil's registered trademark. The AIC then inspected the company and found a batch of infringing goods. Investigations showed that the infringer started manufacturing the infringing goods since March 2007. The AIC detained the infringing goods and obtained evidence from the infringer.
