Circuit seminar on European patent system held in Anhui

Co-hosted by China’s State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) and European Patent Office (EPO) and undertaken by Anhui Provincial Intellectual Property Office, the Circuit Seminar on European Patent System was recently conducted in Hefei, the capital city of Anhui Province. Relevant principals from SIPO and EPO, Director of Anhui Provincial IPO Zhou Hong and Deputy Director Liu Dong attended the seminar.

Officials and legal experts from EPO respectively made reports about the general situation of EPO, European patent system, patent application procedure and European patent information retrieval. Besides, the lecturers also interacted with participants.

The seminar helped enterprises and public institutions in Anhui Province to further understand European patent system and raised local enterprises’ capability in using European patent system to protect their own rights and interests overseas.

120 people took part in the seminar from IPR administrations, patent service agencies, universities, enterprises and public institutions.
