SIPO to guide enterprises to better IPR work

To further improve the work of the national patent exchange workstations and IPR model construction, the State Intellectual Property Office designated 4 excellent examiners to Hainan Province to guide relevant work. On November 25 and 26, the four separately went to Hainan Sainuo Industry Co., Ltd., an enterprise patent exchange workstation and Coconut Palm Group Co., Ltd., an IPR model construction unit of national enterprises and institutions, and respectively held special lectures and symposiums which attracted about 100 people including S&T managers, medium-level leaders and core technicians from these two corporations.

In the lectures, the examiners introduced the basic knowledge of patent, the procedure of patent examination, the skills to write application documents of patent, the patent strategy for enterprises, etc.. During the symposiums followed, the company employees exchanged ideas with the examiners on IPR management and patent issues occurring in the practice of scientific research.

Through such an activity, company staff believed that they had a better understanding of patent and the quality of patent application documents. And they also thought the activity would positively affect the implementation of patent strategy in enterprises. In the viewpoint of the examiners, they thought the activity made them understand enterprises deeply and would help them to serve the enterprises better in the future.
