Exchanges between IP Agencies of Guangdong and Hong Kong held

Recently, Guangdong Provincial IP Office and the Intellectual Property Department of Hong Kong co-sponsored a communicative activity for the IP agencies of Guangdong and Hong Kong. Head of the Intellectual Property Department of Hong Kong SAR Stephen R.Selby attended and addressed the symposium.

Stephen R.Selby thanked Guangdong Provincial IP Office for its attention to this communicative activity and fully affirmed the role this activity exerted in boosting sound cooperation between IP agencies of these two places. Stephen R.Selby hoped that, this activity can play more positive role in helping IP agencies to elevate the level of specialty, seeking for more cooperation and development chances and coping with the current financial crisis.

The principal of Guangdong Provincial IP Office gave the regards of Director of Guangdong Provincial IP Office Tao Kaiyuan to Stephen R.Selby, thanked the Intellectual Property Department of Hong Kong SAR for its promoting the IP cooperation between Guangdong and Hong Kong, and hoped that this activity could further increase business and cultural exchanges between these IP agencies.

At the symposium, the IP agencies of the two places made a heated discussion on such topics as the Establishment and Development of Cooperation Means of IPRs Relating to Foreign Elements, Comparison between IP Laws, Practice and Implementation in Mainland and that in Hong Kong, the System Establishment in IP Agencies, etc..
