On November 12, China Internet Film & TV Anti-piracy Alliance was set up in Beijing including the websites such as www.sina.com.cn, news.ifeng.com, etc. and 17 law offices of main cities.
The Alliance is organized and led by National Copyright Administration (NCA) as well as China Copyright Association. Shen Rengan, Director of China Copyright Association, Xu Chao, Vice Section Chief of Copyright Management Department under NCA, and Shao Yiding, CEO of voole.com jointly expressed the resolution of government and industrial association to severely combat Internet piracy.
The Alliance will be committed to fighting against online film & TV piracy, and maintaining the legal rights of copyright holders, works users and copyright industry. Related experts and scholars also are invited to the Alliance.
Its establishment starts up the anti-piracy action organized by government department, led by industry association, cooperated by enterprises, participated by media and supported by lawyers.
