Taicang court sets up IPR tribunal

On August 18, the IPR Tribunal of Taicang Municipal Intermediate People's Court was unveiled, which greatly boost international competitiveness of local enterprises and brands and offer judicial guarantee for constructing innovation-oriented city and harmonious society.

A large mount of foreign companies with high technology, patented technology and core technology have settled in Taicang city. So, they need IPR protection in investment technology, service outsourcing, independent venture and technological innovation.

The newly-opened IPR tribunal takes charge of handling trademark, copyright, unfair competition and technology contract disputes, as well as other civil cases relating to IPR affairs, which happen in this city and the amount of per case not exceeds 2 million yuan.
