On May 5, Indian officials said that the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the Quality Brands Protection Committee under China Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment (QBPC) signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen protection of intellectual property rights.

According to the MOU, China and India will hold the annual forum on IPR protection and set up a special working group. At the same time, the two sides will exchange IPR data of service providers and organize a series of publicity and training programs.
