Exchange meeting on second EU-China IP protection project held in Shanghai

On January 11, the exchange meeting on the second EU-China IP protection project, co-organized by the European Union and China's Ministry of Commerce was held in Shanghai.
The meeting was sponsored by Shanghai Municipal Office of Intellectual Property Protection and attended by representatives from 16 members of the IP joint conference office, the IP School of Tongji University, the IP School of East China University of Political Science and Law, the IP Research Center of Fudan University and some enterprises as well as leaders from Jiangsu and Zhejiang Provincial Offices of IP Protection.
At the meeting, the EU experts first introduced the general situation of the second EU-China IP protection project, put forward the expected target and visited Shanghai Municipal Service Center for IP Protection.
Then, participants aired their opinions freely.
Director of Shanghai Municipal Intellectual Property Office Chen Zhixing deeply analyzed the status quo of IP management and protection in Shanghai, proposed five constructive advices on IP talents cultivation, IP information project construction, IP law enforcement coordination mechanism construction in Yangtze River Delta, etc., which received unanimous high comments from the participants.
The team of the second EU-China IP protection project expected that in the next few months, yearly working plan and general working plan will be formulated according to the opinions and suggestions on cooperation fields put forward by the Chinese party so as to optimize IP protection environment, promote innovation and advance investment and economic development.
