IPR distance education achieves fruitful results

On December 31, 2007, the final exams for the IPR distance education courses in 2007 were completed. Since its opening on last April 10, a total of 6,673 people have attended the IPR distance education.

The distance education opened seven courses last year, including "Legal Foundation of Intellectual Property Rights", "Patent Document and Retrieval", "Copyright Law", "International IPR Protection", "Anti-unfair Competition", "Work Practices of Patent Agents" and "IPR and IPR System". 　　

The course of "Legal Foundation of Intellectual Property Rights" was opened in four colleges and 3,164 college students took the course.

Also in November 2007, the first local IPR distance education substation was set up in Henan. [Chinese version is available on SIPO.gov.cn]
