Minister Wan Gang meets with Thai Minister of Science and Technology

Minister Wan Gang of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) recently received Dr. Yongyuth Yuthavong, Thai Minister of Science and Technology in MOST. Both sides reviewed China-Thailand S&T cooperation and exchanged views on cooperative issues.

Wan introduced China's 863 and 973 programs and updated his Thai counterparts on China's S&T development. He especially highlighted the importance the Chinese government attaches to international S&T collaboration and expressed MOST's willingness to carry out S&T cooperation with Thailand and other nations at large.

Dr Yongyuth Yuthavong briefed on the Second CAS (Chinese Academy of Sciences)-Thai MOST Joint Workshop on S&T Cooperation to be held in Chengdu on June 28-29, and said Thai MOST highly regarded China-Thailand S&T partnership. Both sides also reached the consensus to further bilateral S&T synergy.
